Civ5 Game - DUKA

Dear William,

stalemate. we offer you peace in respect of you tactical warfare. Konfuzius says „We shall not conquer Berlin!“. I also changed my mind regarding Queen Elisabeth, we also send her a messenger, but her treason will remain in our history books.

Wu

ooc: BigByte, i am not able to send a peace offer again after a few rounds again, as it seems. if interested just try to send me one, i will accept.

Dear Wu,

we are glad to see that her Empress Wu is a wise leader of her nation. We are convinced that her Empress will show her best purposes
to live in peace and harmony with the great kingdoms of England and Germany. But there is only one way to make peace: stop fighting
England and Germany and Hamburg goes back to Germany. If you dont agree, well keep on fighting!

Regards,

von Bismarck

the whole point of this battle was Hamburg. I would be quite stupid to give it back. So, that’s a no, i guess.

Wu

Her Majesties government seeks peace and strongly suggests both sides find acceptable terms to end this conflict.

Herr Bismark, I don’t think it is realistic to make Hamburg a condition of peace. It is under Empress Wu Zetian control since early in the war and not currently threatened by any forces.

England finds war very destructive. Also you should all consider the growing strength of the Austrians (Under Emperor Moby von Noodle Auge) whilst we fight each other!

I will look closely at your next move Empress Wu Zetian. I shall not move my army to attack you whilst you and Bismark try to reach an agreement. There are a small number of English troops in the south who are intent on rape and pillage and they are at this time out of control. We apologise about that.

von Bismarck,

we slightly modified your terms of peace, and hope you accept them.

Elizabeth, we ordered our troops to stand back. And we will take care of your pillaging units. Maybe you can reach out to them for new orders, but i cannot guarantee their survival.

Wu

Dear Bismarck,

i cannot accept your bold terms for peace. Without Elizabeth you would have lost your capital already. I you prefer to fight to death, it shall be. We do not want that. Maybe you try to send an adequate offer.

Empress Wu Zetian

Dear Wu,

you call it bold? When you think you can start a war and capture a city without paying for that
youre thinking wrong! You asked for peace not we. Do you really want peace? I dont think so!
Proof your will! I will send you a last counterproposal, accept our offer or go to hell!

Regards,

Otto von Bismarck

Wu Zetian,

I believe Bismark has asked for gold and horses for 30 turns in exchange for peace. It is important that you understand the reason for this request. It isn’t to punish you or as a sign that you have lost the battle (which was a draw, or strategic victory to you). No, the reason he asks for these things is that you attacked him and he tries to take something away from you for 30 rounds that you might use to attack again. The horses for example are so that you can’t build an army of mounted units and come back. You can think of it as a form of disarmament. Anyway, that’s the reason, just so that you don’t think he’s been drinking to much Schnapps.

Edit: am I correct in thinking that if war is declared within 30 turns the trade for the horses would stop? If so there is little disadvantage to you Wu (unless you plan on building a bigger army, in which case Bismark is correct).

Dear Bismarck,

i accept your terms, but please double check the next Apfelschorle you get served. You were in no position to dictate any terms, except being happy to get some rest. I was under no threat from you, just getting tired of the ongoing stalemate sitiation. Consider the extra Gold and Horses as a gift to help you against the Carthaginian Empire, which you are fighting in the Northwest.

Wu

OOC: i hope you do not take this game personally, because, it’s just a game. Also any bad vibes from my Virtual Represented Civ Leader is not directed to you, the players, just to your virtual identities. please remember that at any progress in the game.

Dear Wu,

ja ja, whatever you say…

Otto von Bismarck

OOC: Of course not! As you say it is just a game and a challenge between avatars. I enjoy it pretty much.

For me it is only ever personal when Moby is involved.

Blah!

Dear Bismarck

please retreat your troops back to munich or above, or this will end in another war. Consider expanding north of munich, there is plentry of land for you there.

regards
Wu Zetian

Dear Wu Zetian,

your threat shows again how aggressive you are. These troops will stay where they are to defend our new settlement.
Our experience with your nation led us to this decision.

Regards

von Bismarck

Dear Bismarck,

if you prefer to escalate, feel free. Meanwhile another continent advances in peace. But i can send you some of my Zen Missionaries to get over your lost city decades ago. You settled to the wrong direction, the whole north is free for you. you still prefer to settle south, where there is not much room for the englishman and me. I would call that aggressive and decided to cut off your expansion early game. Now please get over it and use the lands to the north.

Wu Zetian

Dear Zetian,

god my belly hurts after all that laughing! Send an explorer to discover the world and you will find lots of space for new
settlements. Send your missionaries and i declare war on you!
I haven`t the intention to expand to the south by the way.

von Bismarck

No, no, believe me, your people suffer. I have to send peaceful rescue. You can thank me later.

Wu

Seriously: when you send your missionaries to my cities i will declare war on you!

Wu Zetian & Herr Bismark,

England strongly urges both sides to settle their differences peacefully. All we wish to do is advance in peace and forge strong trading partners. England has no interest in this western continental quarrel. Von Bismark, we suggest you take Wu Zeitan’s advice and settle the lands to the north. Whilst we seek peace, Her Majesty’s government will take a very low view of anyone who acts as an aggressor.

Regards

Elizabeth I
