Civ5 Game - DUKA

hehe, i must admit, i always played civ very peacefully! ask Moby

for me it would be ok to continue anyway… maybe we should vote?

but can you both verify your difficulty setting? Press Escape and under your Leader Portrait, there should be a round icon with a number. (2=bad, 4=good)

  1. difficulty setting = Prince (4)
  2. I don`t think that the labeling in GMR has anything to do with the difficulty setting in the game itself,
because every time I make a turn, I recieve some points. Imho it looks like an „experience indicator“.

Ah, the reason for those points? Could be. Well then it should change soon to Warlord, or the next level after Chieftain.

YES! thats good! lets fight on.
(seems like our noobs are really doing good  )

lol, moby and me spent several hours yesterday trying to „hack“ the savegames for changing difficulty level postlaunch… for nothing

(that still does not explain the raging barbarians on my cities. Were you affected by heavy barbarian attacks, William or Lloyd?)

My difficulty is set to 4 = Prince.

I didn’t get attacked by barbarians but my city is in the far corner of the map so perhaps they just didn’t find me.

Game on.

By the way HakTom; your troop maneuvering and aggressiveness made us nervous so Willi and I entered into a secret pact. So in order to fullfil my side of the agreement I have declared war on you! Enjoy.
:dwarf:

i really did not expect that

after all, big SORRY to Moby for thinking it was his secret game setting.
and SORRY for underestimating William and Lloyd to lead the scoreboard as new civ gamers.

happy gaming.

Barbarians still attacking my cities, but how cares?

we will help you gladly in that matter

That is ok. I’ve known Moby for 25 years now so i’m quite used to dealing with Austrian idiots! ;D

I’m not sure how much Civ experience Willi has. I bought G&K just to play this DUKA game with you.

Guys, lets not beat each other too hard. Remember Moby is still out there!

Pffft… but its like ín real, Lloyd again on his little island…

And you will soon be stuck in the middle and invaded by everyone. Sound familiar?

Willi will try and take over but fail. Don’t be too hard on him for that though because at the end of the day he will end up paying the bill for everyone. $$$ ;D

p.s. Wanted to use Euro symbols instead of „$“ but there aren’t any on my keyboard! LOL I’ve got these symbols though ££££££ :baeh:

Have some £

Yeees, mercy for the poor little German…

I take any kind of money, just put them over here!

I will be on a business trip from Monday till Friday. I can not make my turns in that time.

Please hold the game - I will have a new social selection in the next turns which should not be done from AI… .

Maybe I can train my wife to make the turns - but not sure. If barbarians will come or angry neighbors she can not handle it.

Server down …

Up again.

Hey Strudel noodlers. I found this in the readme for GMR.

What are ‚Points‘?Each time you submit a turn on GMR you are awarded a certain amount points for that turn determined by how many human players are in the game you submitted the turn for. All the points you’ve earned are totalled and displayed next to your avatar in almost all areas of the website. Your total amount of points is also used to determine your Rank on GMR. This helps other players quickly identify how much you’ve participated in GMR games. Points for a turn are calculated using this formula: Points = N + max( N-5, 0 ) Where N is the number of human players not on vacation in the game the moment the turn was submitted. This rewards more points in games with more active human players, and provides bonus points to games with more than 5 such players. Since turns in larger games are less frequent this is an attempt at balancing points rewarded for them.
PointsRank
0Settler
100Chieftain
500Warlord
1,000Prince
2,000King
4,000Emperor
9,000Immortal
15,000Deity

So next time save programming effort and read the user manual.

Mr Haktom,

Her glorious majesty, Elizabeth Regina, Queen of England, Supreme Head of the Church of England, greets you.

We have today received your offer of peace which we have, despite our utmost wishes to see an end to our conflict, not been able to accept. England is bound by her treaty with Germany not to make individual peace. England cannot make peace with China whilst China remains at war with Germany. You excellency should rest assured that once terms have been agreed between China and Germany, England will immediately stand down her armed forces and cease all attacks.

We would strongly encourage your excellency to seek acceptable terms with Germany to avoid further bloodshed.

Regards

Elizabeth R.

Mr. HakTom,
as you see, the glorious nations of England and Germany will stand together. It is your choice to live in peace and harmony with us
or threaten the world with destruction and bloodshed. Choose peace and lead China to an outstanding future. Choose death and we`ll
keep on fighting the war you started.

Regards

Fürst Otto Eduard Leopold von Bismarck-Schönhausen

Dear Elizabeth,

who is, HakTom? I prefer to be adressed as Empress Wu Zetian, or simply 武則天

too bad. We hoped, that our still onholding „Declaration of Friendship“ you agreed on just days before you declared war on us, still has any meaning to you. But, it shall be settled on the Battlefield then.
